Taken in Shenandoah National Park in late October 2022 a few hours before sunrise. The trail to Old Rag Mountain is illuminated by the headlamps of fellow hikers over the 45 minute exposure as the stars wheel overhead. The star light being mirrored by the hikers winding up the mountain create a beautiful symmetry between the natural world and the man made lights made to conquer it.

I took this image with my Nikon D850 paired with a Nikkor 20mm f/1.8 with minor editing in Adobe Photoshop for color correction and contrast.
