Whilst in Iceland in the end of September 2023, the forecast for Northern Light activity was pretty good, but during this night it seemed it was going to be overcast all night. As a group we stayed in an accommodation that was maybe a 100 meters away from this plane wreck. Luckily someone set an alarm clock to check the weather conditions in the middle of the night, because the Aurora went absolutely beserk that night! It was one of the most beautiful experiences I've had while being out with the camera.
Shot with a Nikon Z7, ISO 6400; f2,8; 12mm Loawa lens. Shot is composed of 2 images, one with a 3 seconds exposure for the northern lights, and one with a 20 seconds exposure for the plane.
