A photo from Van Mijenfjorden on the west side of Svalbard in the end of February. This displays the lack of sea ice at 78 degrees north resulting from global warming. This fjord normally should be fully covered by sea ice at this time, but as the gulf stream reaches even this far north, the warmer ocean stream leads to higher temperatures in the Arctic that prevents sea ice from growing. The picture is taken on one of my guiding trips with snowmobile with my Fujifilm X-E4 and 35mm, f/5.6 and 1/500 sec. Not edited, JPEG straight from the camera.
