Taken on freezing morning in last January. This old oak was immidately got my attention from far away with its tangled branches. Light mist helped to separate this beatufiful subject from its fellow trees. The hoarfrost surely gave it some aethereal and delicate look I thought.
The image was taken with a Panasonic G9 camera plus a Leica 12-60mm lens at its maximum focal lenght. A tripod was also used in the process.
Editing was done in Lightroom, where I enhanced the cold feeling of the misty morning. After some additional local contrast adjustments a faint orton effect was applied in Photoshop.
