Three years ago I found this group of white poplar trees dancing in the moring fog of autumn. Nailing the right angle for the composition was very tricky because behind me there was a wide and dense pine forest, which somewhat limited the position of my tripod and also my ability to walk back further enogh to compress the scene for my liking. Eliminating the distracting sky from this image was crucial, so a tall tripod definitely came in handy. I removed couple of branches on loaction from the forest floor but left most of them where they belonged. Felt that they adding value to the composition.
Taken with a Panasonic G9 camera plus a Leica 12-60mm lens at 25mm f5.6.
Editing was done in Lightroom where some color grading, dodging and burning, and color adjustments were applied.
I really like this desaturated look and I feel like you brought the foreground trees into a nice relationship with each other.
Beautiful image. I especially like the arabesque elements formed by the trees. The color tones definitely are striking.
