DESCRIPTION
"Harvest" was taken near sunset just before descending a refuse mountain in Natal, Brazil in June 2004. Workers on top of the city dumpsite raked and dug through the refuse to find valuables of all kinds. The machines and tools they used ranged from small dozers to the hand tools depicted in this image. Many also shepherded pigs to help them work through the dense material.
TECH SPECS
This pic from my archives was taken with a 2002 era Canon D60 with a Canon EF 28–70mm f/2.8L USM lens. The image was shot at a focal length of 29mm at f/16 at 1/90sec at ISO200. Post-processing included basic tone and color adjustment in Photoshop.
