I've been out in North Dakota working most of the year and while I only get Sundays off I have ventured out into the Badlands each Saturday night to camp and do photography, this image was taken in the early morning as a pretty nasty thunderstorm came through overnight and I was able to capture an amazing sunrise in a crazy wild place out in the Badlands. I bumped up the saturation in the sky to better represent the crazy light from the sunrise I had seen in person! I also raised the exposure in the foreground. It was shot on July 30th 2023 so it was very humid and had alot of low laying fog in the canyon bottoms. This was shot on a sony a7r3 with the Tamron 28-200.
