2.13 - "Needs Work"

While out working in North Dakota I would utilize my one day a week off (Sunday). I would head out Saturday night and drive a few hours to the Badlands and camp out, to better have a chance of catching a sunset and a sunrise opertunity on my short time off. This image is the same day and location as my other submitted photo just a little bit after the sun came up with the thunderstorm passing almost out of the frame. In the editing of this photo I really only bumped the saturation a bit to highlight the golden sunlight that was so vibrant that morning, I also raised the shadows in the foreground to help show of the beautiful layers of the Badlands geology. This shot is only slightly angled to the east from my other submission, allowing the eye to flow along the canyon out to the small windy road that leads off to the many oil rigs that litter this beautiful landscape!
