Dawn Liftoff - Port Washington Wisconsin.
I think this image is a bit of a "risk" for a landscape contest but nevertheless I have entered it.
The image was taken on a very very cold morning. The Port Washington harbor is unusually warm because the power plant discharges warm water into the harbor. The area waterfowl sleep overnight in those warm waters. At the crack of dawn they liftoff. They all go the same way almost in unison. And, then wander back in only to do it again.
I personally like the feel of this image with the too quick to stop action of the ducks flying to the almost stillness of those ducks to sat out this flight.
