I took this shot in the town that I live in. The Saint Joseph river has been an awesome and highly convenient source for so many shots that I've taken. This is at a spillway right in Downtown Mishawaka Indiana. I'm very happy the heron remains so still for a slightly longer exposure, just like a lot of the other fishermen that I shoot.
Shot on a Canon EOS Rebel T6i (my older camera), 55-250mm lens (stock). My budget for gear is on the low side, no $1000 in my bag. So composition is my greatest ally.
