This image was taken in an abandoned and flooded granite quarry in Vermont and features choreographer Hannah Dennison who created a dance piece "The Quarry Project" that was set in this quarry on floating stages.

The image was taken with a Sony A7Riii. The landscape is a panorama stick of 5 images shot at ISO 100 f5.6 1/30 with a 135mm Sony lens.

The subject in the boat was then brought into the scene and shot with a strobe in a canoe held by an assistant at ISO 100 f1.8 1/500

The panorama and subject were then layered in photoshop so I could paint out the canoe and strobe.
