Green sea turtle or honu as we say in Hawaiian. Captured with my Sony A7III and sigma 100-400 lens on the north shore beach on Oahu.

In my Hawaiian culture, a honu represents many things to us. Longevity, protection, good luck, wisdom, guidance, mana(power), ohana(family) and the connection between people, land and ocean. There’s an old Hawaiian legend of a hero named Aiai who created honu by drawing a honu on a rock near the ocean and turning it into a sea turtle. And because it is part earth/land it must return to land to lay their eggs. I thought that was a pretty neat story about why the honu returns to land to lay their eggs.
