2.24 - "Needs Work"

I broke the rules. I very rarely break the rule of lining up verticles with architectural photography but I literally had to with this one. Had I been better prepared I may have come up with a better plan of attack but I literally just arrived at the site for a night shoot of the holiday lights. The sunset turned out to be remarkable and the traffic was low, so I grabbed my Nikon D780, tripod and the widest focal length I could get and started firing off a few 7 shot brackets. Later HDR merged with lightroom and slightly graded to bring out and enhance the natural magenta, along with tweak the blue into a slight teal. The amount of effort put into the blue slider was surprisingly small.

If I was better prepared and had more time, I perhaps would have shot a verticle pano, with plenty of space above and below, and straightened it out later in lightroom. Either way though, The perspective worked for me as it gives clear view of the gorgeous sunset without cutting off the building.
