Our wonderful fire dancer model had a flame umbrella apparatus so I tried to have some fun with that. Taken with a Sony A7RIV at f/2.8 ISO 50 on a Tamron 70-180 lens at 85mm, this is a blend of two exposures - one at 1/250 to freeze her pose and one at 0.5 seconds while she spun the umbrella to create the fire wheel effect. In addition to the light of the fire, the lighting for this shot consisted of two hot lights, one to the left of my camera with a magenta gel and a second cool white light facing the model. Other than the blend of the fire, the only other post-processing was a slight crop in. Super fun shoot with a very creative model!
