This split in half nautilus shell was photographed in a studio with two studio strobes. One carried a 47B wratten filter the other a 25. It was placed on a plate of clean, clear glass and the background was not lit to give it that floating in space feel. I used a Nikon F with a Nikkor AI 105mm f/2.8 macro lens and Kodachrome 64 film.
