This was a moment I couldn't pass up. Someone planted sunflowers behind my house and they were full bloom in the summer. One afternoon a good storm rolled in. I walked into the kitchen and saw this pouring rain on the sunflowers through the window and quickly reacted. I grabbed my Nikon D5100 with the 35mm 1.8G and ran out right then. I drove right up next to the front row looking for a nice grouping. I QUICKLY rolled my window down and snapped a bunch. The rain let up and I drove off. This was my favorite of the bunch. There isn't much editing. I only wanted to bring out the drama.
moody shot
Definitely stirs a feeling, great shutter speed to get those raindrops falling. Love it!
yea this one came together so fast I just reacted on instinct. The POURING rain helps a lot
