Shot during the Oslo medieval festival this summer. This is pretty much authentic gear, and no cheap lightweight stuff. Designed to do full fight shows. From a dramatic and violent time, about 800 - 900 years ago. Not many years post Viking Era. Where there were no police.. But there were punishment.. Especially if it was an insult or a "crime" against the King. That was the same as an insult against God and The Church. Then the public punishment before the death was so cruel and terrible and extended beyond imaginable belief, that the sentenced screamed (if he could) for the death. If it was the people commiting wrong doings to eachother, it was either a fine paid to the King, or with more severe wrong doings, it was revenge duty, and blood revenge. If a killer couldn`t be killled by the next of kin, for some reason, it had to be a stand in from the same family..
Shot with daylight with Sony A7r iii with Tamron 28 - 200mm at 41mm. Edited to get a look that I hope is suitable to the theme and motive.
