I was in Chicago for a business trip back in 2018. This was my last day there. I had a few hours to kill before I had to head to the airport. So I decided to take a walk around the area close to my hotel.

When I got the river walk area everyone was stopped and I didn't really know what was happening. But then bells started to ring and the draw bridges started to rise to let a few boats through. I remember just basically sprinting off to my left to get into position to get a shot of the bridges up with the boats going through in with the city in the back ground. People probably thought I was crazy.

I didn't bring a tripod and probably didn't have time for it anyways. I shot this hand held on my first camera, a Nikon d3200, f/11 1/60sec iso200. I did all the editing in Lightroom.
