From a tossing boat photographing the Mavericks Surf competition at Half Moon Bay.
Not the best lens, but what I have.
Nikon D4 with 70-200 f2.8 VR lens with 2X extension.
At 1/5000 sec, ISO 1000, F9 at 400mm. Aperture priority.
Trying to frame surfers while not getting tossed out of boat was one of my more challenging assignments.
Fun and really exciting day knowing how easily things can go wrong for the competitors.
