Title: "I could have been a contender"
This was created of my brother in-law in his apartment. I used my grandparents radio, an old pair of gloves and had him dress up as a 1920's boxer who is down on his luck. his knuckles if zoomed in, you can see are roughed up and his expression I think sells the story along with the dramatic lighting and shadows.
The stark shadows and worn surroundings echo his inner struggle, as he listens intently to the crackling voice on the radio, confronting dreams and defeats. It’s a tribute to the fleeting glory and relentless grit that define the fighter’s journey, a life spent on the edge of triumph and despair.
