The Reynolds Creek Fire inside Glacier National Park in 2015 closed part of the park to visitors. As I drove along the highway on the outskirts of the park smoke from the fire became visible from the highway. I pulled over at an overlook and watched as a helicopter repeatedly flew into the smoke and dropped water on the fire. The fire eventually burned about 4,800 acres and it was speculated that it was human caused, but it was never proven how it started.
In the original picture the smoke obscures much of the forest below. In Photoshop I cropped the photo, then used the dehaze and clarity effects to make it easier to see the water being dropped from the bucket and on to what it was being dropped.
