Image is made with a Deardorff 4x5 View Camera and Kodak IR sheet film. Location is Arastradero Preserve in Palo Alto, CA and was made is 1993. It was dramatic weather, a strong storm having just past and clearing was underway with a cold front having taken over from mild weather. The tree is bare and was in danger of falling, so the urgency was to make the image quickly before more wind would make it impossible to capture the drama of the sky, tree and road.
