This image was taken in Oulanka National Park in Finland and includes it's well known Myllkoski Mill. I used a 6 second exposure to capture the eddy of swirling ice. Taken in January when temperatures were roughly -20 F, the extreme cold and slippery slope of the overlook I shot from were the greatest challenges while shooting. I exposed to get as much light on the foreground as possible without blowing out the sky. In Lightroom I brought down the highlights in the sky and water to portray the ethereal glow of the sunrise as accurately as possible.
