Cranes at sundown going back to their sleeping spot on a cold January evening in Gallocanta, Teruel, Spain.
Gallocanta is at 1,000 meters above sea level, on a plain that dries out and floods with certain periodicity. It is a “stop and rest” for many birds: more than two hundred and twenty different types have been quantified, from small aquatic birds to storks. But the most emblematic are the cranes.
Handheld shot at 600mm, f/6.3, 1/1600s, ISO 12800.
