On a hike to Nordenskiöldfjellet in -25℃/-15 ℉ (Svalbard, Norway) I randomly spotted this perfectly spread out group hiking over Platåfjellet (Plateau Mountain). No planing, just pure luck. It almost looks like they’re hiking on an ice covered body of water, but where the shadow ends there is a drop of almost 500m/1640feet down to the fjord and Longyearbyen. Carrying a rifle is mandatory outside the town.
I only had my old and trusty Canon G7X point and shoot with me. I did a small stitch of two photos to include a bit more of the view on the right side.
