Lucky enough to catch the end of winter in Monument Valley. Woke up early to a place I scouted the night before and realized it wouldn't work because I didn't check where the sun would rise properly.

So instead I ran around trying to line the sun and one of the buttes up. I loved the foreground mix of snow and sand, lots of texture, I am happy with the silhouettes and the clouds.

This was shot at 24mm and a 3 sshot horizontal panorama. stitched in lightroom with basic edits then processed in photoshop. The cloud had a more gentle curve which I pulled down more. Lots of dodging and burning as well... possibly too much?

I have it printed on metal large at 40" x 18" and happy with it still after a year.
