A visit to Chicago's lakefront to witness a super moon rise turned into a private photo session with a migrating sandhill crane. While the moon underwhelmed due to cloud cover this crane came flying in to the beach just yards from where I was set up providing an opportunity for this silhouette. Shooting at ISO 6400 and relatively low shutter speed of 1/160th I was fortunate to get a usable image of the crane framed by the shoreline as the last sunlight poured over the city.
