Easily the most beautiful place I’ve ever photographed but quite challenging to get to. This photo required several river crossings, one of them big enough that I had to take my packraft to cross it. Just at the tip of the falls is a glacier so the water is quite cold (and dangerous if you fall in). To take this picture I had to try multiple times to run up to the falls, take the photo and then clean the water off the lens. It doesn’t look like it in the photo but the amount of spray coming off the close falls could only be described as torrential and my camera didn’t work for a few days after.
