This shot was taken just as we were running out of time at the end of the day, we had spent the afternoon doing various poses in this space and on a whim I opted to have the model sit up on this fireplace mantle in front of the cool mirror they had set up. I ended up having to stand on a stool, holding the camera above my head to get the shot as there wasn't enough time to get a ladder

I wanted to give the shot a dramatic feel, so even though the space was brightly lit and very "white", I opted to expose pretty dark. I then pointed a single flash at her with only a grid on a reflector to give it a punchy spotlight feel. It turned out to be one our favourite shots of the day.
