This was taken a personal shoot for this kid and his family at the Knox BMX track in Victoria Australia. Because we had the track to ourselves I could get really close to the riders. This is shot at 14mm and the front element is probably only a 18 inches away from the riders face. I'm shooting at F16, 1/60th to get the panning / blur effect. Then i've used a flash ontop of the camera to freeze the rider. I really the sense of speed it gives. Its a tricky shot to master because you need to shove the camera in front of the rider without knocking them off. I'm actually shooting at arms length guessing the framing.
