Shot September 19th, at a boutique hotel in Beverly Hills for my book Hapa Moods. Handheld Nikon Z 7 with the NIKKOR Z 85mm f/1.8 S at 1/100 sec, f/1.8, ISO 2000.
Continuous light only, no strobe. A cluster of tea candles placed camera-right did the work of modeling her face and body, and I shot through the open glass shower door to add a voyeuristic edge. Before we started I had her step briefly into the running shower to pick up the sheen and water droplets on her skin.
Lian was 26 at the time. I was aiming for a European feel, sensual but restrained, leaning on texture and posture rather than overt exposure.
