LBN 550 is a dark, dense interstellar cloud of dust and gas in the constellation Cepheus, approximately 850-1,000 light-years from Earth, that appears as a black void against brighter stars because the dust blocks visible light. It is a part of the larger Cepheus Molecular Cloud Complex.
