This is a view of the ceiling inside a Wendat (Huron) longhouse. These dwellings were traditional, communal, multigenerational wooden structures built with poles and covered with bark. They typically housed multiple families belonging to the same clan. In this photo, corn was hung on the poles and left to dry. It is very smoky inside (as you can tell from the photo), as there are fires burning at regular intervals to keep the longhouse warm.

For me it was challenging to photograph and process due to the low light, high contrast and smoke especially on my micro fourth third equipment.

Technical: Olympus OM-D E-M1 mark II with M.Zuiko 12-40mm PRO lens at 15mm. 1/100 F 2.8 ISO 1000. Processed in Lightroom only for tonal adjustment.
