Shot February 18th, in a Waikiki suite for my book Hapa Moods. Handheld Nikon Z 7 with the NIKKOR Z 50mm f/1.8 S at 1/60 sec, f/1.8, ISO 2200.
I filled the bathtub with 10–15 gallons of whole milk and sealed a mini flashlight inside a Ziploc bag before dropping it into the water. That was the only light source in an otherwise pitch-black room. At first the white from the milk was too bright and became a hot spot, but then I had the Taylor move her hand over the light source, which further reduced it's intensity. The milky liquid diffused the beam into a soft under-glow, and I worked that bounce to model her facial features.
Taylor was a first-time model, still in college at the time. We worked through the session slowly, and this frame came from a quieter moment after she'd settled into the bath.
