Under a beautiful pastel evening sky a Yellow-billed Stork returns to the nesting colony with some top-up nesting material. Waiting for that soft pastel evening sky presents added problems with slo pan, one needs to get that s/s down to under 1/50s, so when sunlight drops it becomes a fine balancing act with both shutter speed and ISO.

The colors in this shot are gorgeous, and that eye contact is just perfect. I love how the centered framing gives it a bit of humor—it feels like the bird is posing for the camera. The motion blur adds such a nice sense of movement too. Really fun and creative take on the theme!
Much appreciated, thank you Chris!
