In 2015, I was traveling for work. I was supposed to go fly from Seattle to Colorado Springs. However, Colorado Springs was hit with a big snow storm. My flight was diverted to Denver just before the storm hit that city. I was told that my checked baggage would be at the Colorado airport when I got there. As I drove from Denver to Colorado Springs, more and more snow fell. Every car was creeping along on the interstate highway. The closer I got to Colorado Springs, the fewer cars were on the road. I arrived at the Colorado Springs airport to find a completely empty parking lot and the doors locked. It felt like I was in post-apocalyptic movie. The only camera I had on me at the time was my iPhone 6. The night sky was burnt orange. I had never seen anything like it. I left the airport to go to my hotel. I was able to pick up my luggage the following afternoon when the airport resumed operations.
