"Off To Work We Go".
Most of the editing took place before I took the photo. The leaf Cutter Ants and the tree branch is a pen and ink drawing I made. It was photographed with a large Stat Camera on photo sensitive clear acetate and developed in the dark room. the final image was about 15 inches wide. The film was then placed on a copy stand. I then selected four leaves of appropriate size and cut out sections that resembled what you would see on a leaf cut by the ants.
I then placed the leaves on the acetate drawing so they looked like the ants were carrying them.
The setup was photographed with a Nikon F?, Nikon lens?, 1990's.
The background photo was taken on the Blue-ridge Parkway, date?
The two photos were composited in Photoshop.
This was one of my best selling images back when you could make money selling stock images. Those days are long gone now!

Question, should I expand this image so that it's less square?
