Kendall Jenner Talks to Jimmy Fallon About Photography, Gives Him Some Pointers

Most of us don’t typically associate fashion model and reality television star Kendall Jenner with photography yet. During her recent appearance on NBC’s "The Tonight Show," she had a few pointers for host Jimmy Fallon.

Jenner is one of several celebrities that have received attention for their careers in photography. To the surprise of some, she has managed to put together a professional photography portfolio which includes several magazine covers and one of the most liked accounts on Instagram (2015’s most liked account, in fact).

In her recent "Tonight Show" appearance, Jenner talks to Fallon about her roots in photography and also discusses her images that have made the cover of Love Magazine. To the delight of the audience, Jenner manages to provide a few modeling tips to Fallon, who is known for being a tad bit camera-shy, while snapping a few shots of him with her newest camera. Fallon then introduces Jenner to an iPhone and manages to grab a few selfies with the model-turned-photographer.

Having been photographed by some of the fashion industry's leading photographers, Jenner should have some insight into how a high-end fashion set should look and feel. Do you think that experience is enough for her to carve out a place in a saturated fashion photography industry as a photographer?

It may be more interesting and useful to talk about photography in it's broadest and more impactful aspects rather than the "just the facts" approach so many of the non artists love to take on things here.

I dismiss her as 1. A child, not for her age but her background or lack thereof. 2. Not a photographer due to her lack of focus on the skill set and overall mind of the craft. 3.Not really worthy of discussion in any way related to photography as I connect to it.

So enough of that standard high horse stuff. She's skipping the early years and going straight to the good stuff without the effort and she (and most of you) don't even know why. She has Access!! That's it. She can get everybody in front of her camera and they will all be open to her moment with them. THAT is everything. That is what every great photographer is doing in whatever way they learn how to do it.

However it came about, I hate to say it, she's doing it right.

Seriously trolls..
Like she said. She didn't shoot magazine covers with her point and shoot film camera.
That's just for fun. And that's why she turned on the flash in there. It's all for fun and they're goofing around.
Cmon. It's good TV, it's cosy and fun. She's young and famous and it looks good on the show.
So get real and stop being such haters plz. What good is gonna come out of flaming online anyway? Srsly... :D

I continue to shoot film; not because it's cool or hip. But it's because my film cameras still work.

How soon till she starts writing all the articles here? I think we could learn so much.

To be honest, I'd rather look at her photos than most of the criticizers on this website. I always wonder why the harsher critics here rarely have their own work in their profiles. Go figure.

sharing her love for photography is not shame, what is shame is we as community cheering and let her talk to tv show as she is one of kind just because she is famous.
yes i do hope she find her way to photography, but that show will not help her and will not help the photographers community as will
