Instant film cameras have seen a resurgence in the past few years, with their blend of instant, tactile satisfaction and nostalgia making them appealing for photographers and casual users alike. The SQ1 is the latest entry into the series, and this great video review takes a look at what you can expect from it in practice.
Coming to you from Gordon Laing, this video review takes a look at the new Fujifilm Instax SQ1 square format film camera. I have had an Instax camera and printer for several years now, and they are definitely a ton of fun to use and always a hit among friends. Of course, you have to remember that you are not using these for the image quality, but rather for the fun of the experience and the nostalgia, so do not expect fantastically sharp or high-quality photos out of them. Nonetheless, with proper technique and the right environment, you can easily get decent images that make for fun memories. And of course, if you would prefer not to potentially waste shots, you can always get the SP-3 printer, which allows you to print any image from your smartphone on Instax film and is actually my preferred method. Check out the video above for Laing's full thoughts.
