Acer Introduces New Monitors and Laptops for Creators

Acer added a new series of high-end displays, laptops, and desktop PCs to its creator-oriented premium ConceptD line. Acer introduced the ConceptD series last year with three laptop models; ConceptD 5, ConceptD 7, and the flagship ConceptD 9. The line has been designed with creators in mind, and the Taiwanese company expanded it with new laptops, powerful desktop PC models, and monitors.

ConceptD 3 and ConceptD 3 Ezel Laptops

Available in 14" and 15.6" models, the new 3 series laptops are equipped with Intel 10th generation i5 or i7 H-series processors. Base model; ConceptD 3 has 20-hours of battery life and comes with Nvidia GeForce GTX 1650Ti GPU.

ConceptD 3 Ezel is the convertible version of ConceptD 3, and it has Acer's signature hinge design allowing to switch between six usage modes. With a backlit keyboard and 18-hours of battery life, ConceptD 3 Ezel targets 2D and 3D designers. An FHD Pantone-validated 100% sRGB display is standard on both models, while the Ezel version offers a touch display that can be used with Acer's Active Stylus.

For more demanding users, ConceptD 3 range can be configured with Nvidia Quadro T1000 GPU when "pro" versions are selected.

ConceptD CP5 and CP3 Monitors

Acer released these new monitors targeting video editors, graphic designers, and creators. The new monitors stand out with their color accuracy, covering 99% Adobe RGB and 98% of the DCI-P3 color space with high refresh rates. Both monitors are 27" in size, and they are Pantone validated. Sharing the same design aesthetics, CP5 has WQHD 2560 x 1440 resolution and supports DisplayHDR 600 with a 170 Hz refresh rate, while CP3 has 4K display with 165 Hz refresh rate supporting DisplayHDR 400.

ConceptD 100 Desktop PC

Acer introduced ConceptD 100 as an intro model to its performance desktop series. The new model comes with Intel's 9th Gen processors paired with 32 GB of DDR4 memory. This small form factor desktop PC can be configured with NVIDIA GeForce GPUs, however users will be able to choose NVIDIA Quadro GPUs for more intensive 2D and 3D workflows.

  • ConceptD 3 Notebook will be available in October, starting from $999
  • ConceptD 3 Ezel will be available in August, with prices starting from $1,499.
  • ConceptD CP5 and CP3 monitors will be available in August 2020, starting at $749 and $619 respectively.

Stop wasting you time with color spaces no one ever uses. Unless you're using a custom printing process, the world is only sRGB or CMYK. You don't need monitors that show xx% of color spaces your clients will never see.
