Let's face it, the Sigma 50mm f/1.4 Art is hard to find. I've been getting barraged with questions from fellow photographers asking me when they could buy the 50mm, or if I have some sort of mystical connection that will allow me an unlimited supply of the lenses for them to tap. The popular lens has been nearly perpetually sold out since the lenses came to the market. The 50mm has always been my weapon of choice. I'm feeling really tempted to make the switch to sigma.
Still not around for Nikon yet, though I know some people have gotten theirs.... And here I was thinking I got my order in early! Demand for this has been worse than for new Nikon pro bodies. Crazy!
I'm looking to get a fast prime and I'm really considering this.
My only problem is (yeah I know it's ridiculous) that it won't "match" the rest of my gear :D.
That, and the fact that it's not officially weather sealed...

The funny part is that you're serious...
I use the 35mm 1.4 and the 50mm 1.4 and ABSOLUTELY love them...Don't care that they are not Canon, don't care that they 'don't match', what I care about is the IQ and their build quality. Daniele Z you won't be disappointed!

Shot with the Nikon version last week on my D800. Incredible piece of glass and a great match.
I'm just waiting for Sigma to released the 85mm...
No stock issue in Montreal. Just money Issue for me haha. But I tried it and loved it ! I completely forgot adding the Canon 1.2 to my collection !
