Having Fun With Rare and Unique Ultra-Wide Angle Lenses

The history of camera gear is rich with numerous unique lenses with rare capabilities and interesting designs. This fun video follows a photographer as he tests out several ultra-wide angle lenses.

Coming to you from Mathieu Stern, this interesting video follows him as he tries out a few different ultra-wide angle lenses. I have always had a fascination with extreme focal lengths and weird lens designs. I have had the pleasure of testing out focal lengths well above 1,000mm and currently own a 10-18mm f/4.5-5.6 lens, which, as you can probably guess, spends 90% of its time at 10mm. Admittedly, the opportunities I have to shoot at 10mm are few and far between, but it is the challenge of such an extreme focal length that makes me take it out in the first place. I actively look for shots that take advantage of the extremely wide angle of view, both because it is a fun photographic challenge that forces me to see the world in a different way and because when you do get a shot at 10mm, it is really stunning to look at. If you have never tried out an ultra-wide angle lens, it is a lot of fun. Check out the video above to see the full rundown.
