ONA, a camera bag and accessory company known for really beautiful products, announced several new additions to their line today. The Leather Bowery, The Bolton Street Backpack, The Dark Truffle Leather Brixton, The Smoke Bowery and The Presidio Camera Strap were all announced today. All these look really sharp and are sure to appeal to many of you (they certainly look great to me). I'm personally a fan of their new "dark truffle" leather color.
ONA touts the Leather Bowry as "handcrafted with gorgeous Italian-tanned leather and detailed with antique brass accents." It features five exterior pockets for personal items and an interior padded with closed-cell foam. The Leather Bowery can carry a DSLR camera, one extra lens and small personal items. It can be used as a stand-alone camera bag or as an insert to protect your camera in a larger bag. Available in Antique Cognac and Dark Truffle.
Handcrafted with water-resistant waxed canvas and detailed with full-grain leather accents, the Bolton Street camera backpack is designed to protect your gear while making it available in an instant with two convenient side-access pockets. Made with closed-cell foam, the main interior compartment is fully customizable and can carry a DSLR and three to five lenses, depending on size. A back pocket protects up to a 15-inch laptop, with pockets for a smartphone, lens cap, batteries and memory cards while a front pocket can be used for small everyday essentials. Available in Smoke, Dark Tan and Black.
The Dark Truffle Leather Brixton
With Italian-tanned leather, this Dark Truffle version of the Brixton camera bag is made with a light wax finish that develops a rich patina over time that is sure to age well. The Brixton is designed to carry a camera, two to three lenses and up to a 13” laptop. It has four removable dividers that allow you to customize the interior and two front pockets that provide room for your lens caps, batteries, and small personal items. This particular offering is my favorite, and I was very excited about it when I first laid eyes on it at WPPI Las Vegas 2013.
Designed with style and versatility in mind, the Bowery is your camera bag one minute and camera insert the next. Use the Bowery with the strap attached to carry your camera, a lens and a few small personal items. Remove the detachable strap and the Bowery functions as a protective camera insert and bag organizer inside of a larger bag. The Bowery is padded with closed cell foam, designed with top-quality water-resistant waxed canvas and detailed with full-grain leather, antique brass hardware, and a secure front closure. One of our favorites for short trips, it’s now available in Smoke.
The Presidio camera strap is handcrafted with top grain leather and a waxed canvas neckline that is padded with soft neoprene. Two sets of chrome buckles allow for adjusting the length, while custom rivets provide an extra style point. The Presidio camera strap is most comfortably worn crossbody and is designed for use with camera kits weighing up to 6 pounds. Available in Smoke, Field Tan and Black.
We will have the Leather Brixton in the studio soon with a full review on its way. What do you think of ONA's summer offerings? Let us know in the comments below.
HIPSTERS UNITE!
Would love an ONA bag but I think they're too expensive to be reasonable for a lot of working professionals.
rob me! rob me!
Well, I would actually be tempted to buy one on those bags. For a very simple reason. Most Bags have written Lowepro, or what ever the brand of the manufacturer is, all over it. Which means potential thieves can spot you a mile away as a potential target.
At least with bags like those from ONA, or similar, will make you blend in more with the regular crowd when you arnt using your camera.
If only they had cheaper versions for us plebs!
The bags sure look nice, but I've heard a lot of negative things from long-time owners. I don't think the bags hold up well.
for that price, i will buy a pelican case and a pistol. Max protection
I'm really surprised at the response to this. The last time I wrote on ONA the response was overwhelmingly positive.
Fickle beast, that internet is. I didn't comment last time though. I was intrigued, but I still had the same reaction. Gorgeous bags, don't look the most practical, and too much money.
Tried to order the Presidio Camera strap today. Backordered. :(
