The Panasonic S1 has been making waves as a truly tricked-out camera made for professionals. Is it a camera that can step up to the most demanding needs for both stills and videos? This thoughtful review takes a look at the camera from both perspectives to answer that question.
Coming to you from The Hybrid Shooter, this great video review takes a look at the Panasonic S1 and how well it stands up to both photo and video shooting. Personally, I've shot with the S1R (review coming soon), and I absolutely loved the camera. It's rugged, has an absolutely stunning EVF, and a vast array of features. It's definitely a camera built for professionals, and I appreciate the thought that Panasonic put into the design and feature set. I was particularly impressed by how well the camera was designed and how it performed given that it is Panasonic's first foray into the highly competitive full frame mirrorless market. If you are looking for a professional option that can stand up to almost any situation, stills or video, it's certainly a camera that's well worth taking a look at. Check out the video above for the full rundown.

Where?
Agreed, gotta love a tricked out camera that can make waves. This may gain a little teeny traction until Sony decides to release a new model that overtricks this one with way more waviness
Well, I’m kinda interested in the S1. Maybe that’s a wave?
DFD = not that great for photo or video. For video, most people will say use manual focus, anyway, but considering the prices of L-mount lenses, you're going to want good photo AF.
