Polarpro’s New Products To Help You Get To Grips With Your Leica Q3 or Fuji X100 Series

If you own a Leica Q3 or Fuji X100 series camera, you’ll fit into one of two camps: those who love the simple, old-school design of the cameras and are happy to use them as is, or those who don’t like the lack of grip. Up until now, there have been very few options to help those wanting a more comfortable solution when holding their little retro-styled cameras. But fear not, PolarPro has just launched a few products to solve this issue. And one of those options is rather sexy too!

PolarPro has been creating some wonderful products of late, and the new BaseGrip, ThumbGrip, and SoftShutter are fantastic examples of their innovative thinking and design.

The three aluminum products for both Leica and Fuji come in two color choices: bronze or black. The BaseGrip is the product I love the most. Not only does it provide some grip, but the base protects the underside of your camera from getting scratched up and has a built-in Arca tripod plate.

The Fuji X100VI version has one tripod mount on the base, while the Leica version has a side mount too, allowing you to easily shoot horizontally or vertically on a tripod. The Leica BaseGrip is compatible with both the 28 mm and 43 mm versions of the Q3.

There’s also a matching ThumbGrip and SoftShutter button for both cameras.

The bronze version of these products elevates what are already sexy cameras to supermodel level—particularly on the Leica Q3. There’s a black option too if you prefer a more stealthy, understated look, which may be better for street photography.

I’m in the camp that loves both Fuji and Leica cameras as they are, but with this range of products that are not only practical but look really good, I could be persuaded otherwise. Regardless of the additional comfort the grip might provide, a baseplate to protect the underside of your precious, expensive camera is essential, in my opinion. PolarPro’s option is quite possibly the best on the market right now. You can purchase the BaseGrip, ThumbGrip, and SoftShutter here.

Innovative? An l-bracket, a soft shutter button, and a thumb grip are innovative? These are new ideas? That's a ridiculous statement.

PolarPro are developing some innovative products and their design is superb. That's not a ridiculous statement, it's an observation. Sure, a thumb grip, for example, isn't original (I didn't say it was), but the way they thought about it and designed it is. Particularly for the Leica.

Nice affordable compliments to the Leicas. Now if I can finds the funds for the Q43!

Same here, would love the 43!
