Equivalent to a 12-24mm lens, the XF 8-16mm f/2.8 is a very versatile device, useful for a variety of applications ranging from landscapes and architecture to events coverage, such as weddings, where you need good low-light performance and the ability to capture lots in the frame all at once. The XF 8-16mm f/2.8 comes with a variety of great features, including:
- Six extra-low dispersion elements, including three Super ED elements for reduced chromatic aberrations and increased clarity
- Four aspherical elements for reduced distortion and spherical aberrations and increased clarity
- Nano-GI (Gradient Index) coating for reduced flares and ghosting
