The new 50mm f/1.4 DG DN Art is designed for full frame mirrorless cameras and brings with it the promise of excellent image quality, autofocus performance, and balanced size and weight.

Only $849. Every time third parties launch lenses like this, it's a kick in the balls to Canon.
Why use this when you can just use the excellent updated RF 50 1.4 from Canon? It's surely one of the most desired and reliable lenses..

Maybe it would be if they actually made it! Canon refuses to update to this lens so they can force buyers to get the huge and expensive L version.
The nifty fifty or the huge expensive 50 1.2. What a great set of choices :/ If I wasn't invested in canon there's probably no way I would buy a canon.
