Bluristic mirror mode
I must admit I have been lax in both my shooting and posting recently, perhaps due to the fact my wife has now retired, and we are spending a LOT more time together doing various activities.

An afternoon out on the water
It was mid September late in the afternoon, a group of sailboats were out on the water enjoying the weather, there was a soft breeze blowing, pushing on the sails.

very nice use of available light
Hi Sash,
One light source is the way to go for bodyscapes. You have a good b&w rendition, I like that the black surrounding her is a solid black, not easy to do at times.
On the other hand you need to improve your composition, bodyscapes are very difficult to frame. When I do some I walk around the model and go up and down until I find a good angle/view. Don't be affraid to use a vertical framing too. You're lucky to have a willing model in house so you can practise. Ask her to bend forward or backward, lie on something or even be upside down. Bodyscapes are all about mystery, what exactly I'm I looking at?
The ones you shared might be better if they were cropped vertically to reduce the black negative space around her.
Hope this helps,
Marc
