The Sun and the Moon: Edited to add last photo
I wanted to see how my 50 year old Canon FD 800mm f/5.6 s.s.c. would handle photographing both the Sun and the Moon.
1 - Revealing sunspots. (Square cropped)
Sterling in silhouette
I held a lighting workshop recently. Sterling was the model. I rarely shoot silhouettes but I wanted to incorporate that arch into a shot. Backlighting became an obvious choice.

Hi Kiel - new to fstoppers myself. Love these photos - although I will say that it is a challenge to get the foreground lit properly. My go to guide is a youtube video on low level lighting with Royce Bair, he also has a blog that I find invaluable about using lite panels properly. I love this stuff, very addictive.
nice star trails (good colors) only a couple stars are clipped, assume you kept the ISO low?
Nice star trails. I have never really been into creating them, because I only have one camera, and I'd rather be getting traditional MW landscapes; however, that may change when I purchase a 2nd body.
I'm really liking that 2nd photo that looks like it was taken during blue hour. Very nice.
