I sometimes pull all-nighters in the desert shooting Milky Way landscape images, and here is one from a session last month.

Sky = 15 images track/stack with Rokinon 21mm
Ground = single image with Fuji 10-24.

A stone shepherd's cabin with an orange roof beside a high-altitude lake in the province of Leon during an unexpected late spring snowfall.
I wanted to see how my 50 year old Canon FD 800mm f/5.6 s.s.c. would handle photographing both the Sun and the Moon.

I held a lighting workshop recently. Sterling was the model. I rarely shoot silhouettes but I wanted to incorporate that arch into a shot. Backlighting became an obvious choice.

Nice shot. Light painting is hard. Next time I am going to set up a light panel on very low setting to the side I long way away if possible. Although it would be hard to set up with all the boulders in the way at Joshua tree. Love your composition.
